I decided to start going through pictures I've taken, but never worked with. I have a lot to go through!! I love taking pictures, but I'm lazy as hell with the post-processing. So once I got started I was having too much fun to stop. This ended up with another 2:30am bedtime and an 8am appointment. Needless to say I missed the appointment. Such is life. :)

I was trying to get a photo that showed my excitement once work was over. I found this one on the way to pickup Sara and was very pleased. Just the act of seeing this brightened up my day as it gave me something to shoot. I think this means I need to shoot pictures more often or go to work less. I haven't decided yet which course to follow. I like option #1. :)

Morning Walk

I have an 8-block walk to work everyday. That means a lot during a Chicago winter. My fingers are ready for more than a little heat by the time I reach my building. That was the case this morning, but the Art Institute looked so nice. So I dug deep, pulled out the camera and willed life into my fingers. I was able to squeeze off a couple of shots that captured my vision. This is the best one of the lot.

I found this picture particularly funny due to the fact that Sara and I were talking about this very subject on the way home. These signs are out all Winter regardless of the weather. People are so used to them now that they are meaningless. They are just out so the buildings are covered for liability.

So I've decided to try a project on capturing pictures of landmarks. I'm not sure how it's going to go, but at least it will keep my lunches busy.
